Toronto Western Hospital, Princess Margaret Cancer advance precision oncology with $3.7M BMO award

Bank of Montreal and the BMO Financial Group are backing a C$5 million ($3.7M) push to transform surgical and cancer care at University Health Network’s Toronto Western Hospital and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Funds will build a state-of-the-art Surgical Tower, expanding capacity and modernizing ORs, while also fueling PMATCH, a world-first AI-powered system connecting patients to tailored clinical trials. The investment targets faster, smarter, and more equitable cancer care, combining cutting-edge infrastructure with precision oncology innovation, positioning UHN to lead in complex surgeries and AI-driven clinical research across Canada and beyond.
