The University of Oregon has announced a $125 million grant from Ballmer Group to expand bachelor’s-level child behavioral health training nationwide. The 10-year initiative aims to launch 18 university programs, train tens of thousands of providers and expand behavioral health support for millions of youth. The grant will establish the Catalyst Center for Youth Behavioral Health, which will coordinate implementation, evaluation, clinical training and policy efforts. Three initial partner universities will each receive $30 million to develop programs based on UO’s model, creating a scalable workforce pipeline focused on early identification and prevention of youth mental health concerns.
