Montréal’s Mécénat Musica initiative has announced it has raised C$125M ($92M) in permanent capital to secure stable long-term funding for arts and cultural institutions across Québec. The collaborative program, administered with support from the Foundation of Greater Montreal, the Jewish Community Foundation of Montreal, and Fondation Québec Philanthrope, channels large individual and family gifts into endowment-style funds that generate regular income. Built through more than 800 major donations since 2015, the model combines private philanthropy with provincial matching incentives.
