Miami’s Baptist Health receives $1M from Herrera family for maternal and neonatal care

Baptist Health, in Miami, Florida, has announced a $1 million gift from Julio C. and Alexandra Herrera to support women’s and infant care across the region. The award will support South Miami Hospital’s NICU alongside the transformation of Baptist Hospital’s Lake Pavilion. The funding will strengthen neonatal care and help expand and modernize women’s health services, including labor and delivery, postpartum care, NICU services, and specialized emergency care. The gift follows the Herrera family’s personal experience and support provided by Baptist Health’s NICU teams.
