Mindy and Jon Gray, through the Gray Foundation, have announced a $35 million, three-year grant initiative to support 16 research teams focused on prevention, early detection, and interception of BRCA-related cancers. The awards bring the couple’s total BRCA giving to more than $235 million. The team-focused funding will support collaborative projects across several institutions including Columbia University, Harvard Medical School, and Johns Hopkins University. The grants will fund advancements in AI-enabled imaging, blood analysis, and computational modeling to identify early cancer signals and accelerate biomarker discovery using the Gray-funded BRCA Pre-Cancer Atlas.
