Johns Hopkins receives $10M from Lynda Carter Altman for urology innovation and training 

Johns Hopkins Medicine has announced a $10 million gift from Lynda Carter and the Altman Family Foundation to advance minimally invasive urological surgery at the Buchanan Brady Urological Institute. The funding establishes the Robert Altman Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery–named for the Wonder Woman star’s late husband, Robert Altman, billionaire co-founder of gaming company ZeniMax Media–and will support research, surgical training, and patient care for conditions ranging from kidney stones to bladder and prostate cancer. The gift will accelerate adoption and development of robotic surgery, advanced imaging technologies, and 3D-printed surgical modelling, that will improve surgical precision, speed recovery, and expand community access to next-generation treatments.
