Dr. Seuss, San Diego foundations commit $2M to early literacy programs across region

Dr. Seuss Foundation and San Diego Foundation have announced a $2 million grant commitment to organizations across San Diego County, California, to support early literacy and learning programs for children from birth to age 8. Funding is delivered through the Dr. Seuss Foundation’s Bright Futures initiative and the Ready to Learn endowment at San Diego Foundation, supporting nonprofit partners that strengthen reading skills, school readiness, and social-emotional development. Together, the programs expand access to early learning across the region, building on prior support reaching more than 14,600 children and providing grants of up to $90,000 to community organizations.
