With $1M family gift, Towson University names baseball field for Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson

The Constance and Brooks Robinson Foundation has awarded $1 million to Maryland’s Towson University to support the naming and improvements of the university’s baseball facility, the Brooks Robinson Field at John Schuerholz Park. The award is the largest in Towson athletics history. The gift honors the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Famer and strengthens university athletics programs and infrastructure. The dedication ceremony included Robinson’s son throwing the ceremonial first pitch.
