University of Kentucky in Lexington has announced a $5 million grant from the Bill Gatton Foundation in support of student scholarships, boosting college access for low-income students. The grant will strengthen affordability and persistence to graduation initiatives, and contribute to efforts to build a pipeline of future professionals and leaders statewide. The award expands funding for the Gatton Scholarship Program, which has provided nearly 3,500 scholarships to undergraduates and medical students since 2016.
