Yung Foundation awards OneQuest $1M to boost mental health workforce across Kentucky tri-state area

OneQuest Health has announced a $1 million grant from Yung Family Foundation, doubling the foundation’s investments to strengthen behavioral and integrated healthcare services. The latest unrestricted grant will support recruitment and retention of behavioral health clinicians across Kentucky, southern Ohio, and Indiana, addressing severe workforce shortages in a region where some counties exceed a 4,000-to-1 patient-to-provider ratio. The previous award focused on infrastructure and digital access, enabling OneQuest Health to expand its capacity by 150% since 2022 and sustain care for the surrounding Medicaid-dependent populations amid rising mental health demand.
