University of Texas at Arlington has announced a $1 million gift from alumnus Roger Krone and his wife, Helen, to boost the school’s department of mechanical and aerospace engineering’s space systems program. The award establishes the university’s first space systems endowment to fund the newly launched Krone Space Systems Laboratory. The award will support scholarships, student research, experiential learning, professional development, and competition teams. The lab will provide expanded hands-on training and applied research, preparing graduates for careers in the growing space industry.
