Robertson Foundation commits $19M to cut food-system waste and methane emissions

The Robertson Foundation has announced a $19 million multiyear commitment to six nonprofits to reduce methane emissions from the food system. The three-year commitments to the Tilt Collective, the American Heart Association, the World Resources Institute, the World Wildlife Fund, Full Circle Future, and the Zero Food Waste Coalition will fund initiatives that expand plant-rich diets and cut food waste through policy, institutional food programs, consumer education, composting, and standardized date labeling. The investment aims to curb climate-warming methane emissions by transforming food production and consumption while advancing healthier diets and reducing landfill waste.
