Kentucky HBCU Morehead State University raises record $9.5M in Fiscal 2026

Kentucky HBCU Morehead State University has announced a record $9.5 million in philanthropic support for fiscal year 2026 to expand scholarships, academic programs, athletics and institutional priorities. The funding, generated through gifts from alumni and benefactors, including major estate gifts and the naming of the Greene College of Science & Engineering, surpassed the Foundation’s previous annual fundraising by nearly 50%. The fundraising supports the school’s campaign to boost its endowment to $100 million, strengthening long-term funding for student success, faculty excellence, academic innovation, and future university initiatives.
