Middlebury raises $650M to expand aid, academics, and student opportunities

Middlebury College has announced the successful completion of its latest fundraising campaign–launched in 2023–generating $650 million in gifts and pledges, and surpassing its initial $600 million goal more than two years ahead of schedule. The Vermont school raised $105 million in Fiscal 2026. The funds will strengthen financial aid, academic programs, experiential learning, and the college’s endowment, while providing flexible funding for emerging priorities. Highlights include $190 million for financial aid, $132 million for faculty and academic programs, $102 million for experiential learning, and $288 million for the endowment. The campaign also established 151 endowed scholarships and expanded investments in AI, environmental initiatives, and student mental health.
