Google.org expands its Digital Wellbeing Fund to $50M for youth mental health and safety programs

Google.org has announced an expansion of its U.S. digital wellbeing fund to more than $50 million, a $30 million increase from the $20 million fund launched in 2024, to support teen mental health and safer technology use. The initiative will fund organizations including Active Minds, the California Behavioral Health Association, and the Child Mind Institute to expand youth mental health programs, digital wellbeing tools, and community support. Active Minds will receive funding for a national expansion aimed at equipping 100,000 youth and young adults with mental health skills and advocacy tools. The fund has already supported programs reaching one million students and 79,000 Girl Scouts.
