Barancik awards $7.1M to strengthen housing, health, and youth programs across Sarasota

Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation has awarded nearly $7.1 million in grants to nonprofits and community initiatives across the Sarasota region to expand housing stability, mental health services, youth development, environmental restoration, and family support programs. Awards include $1.25 million to Rebuilding Together Greater Florida for home rehabilitation, $600,000 to Second Heart Homes for supportive housing, and $600,000 to Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe for capacity building and education. Additional grants will bolster homelessness prevention service, food security, mentoring, early childhood programs, and environmental improvements.
