Sam Rayburn Museum receives $1.1M from Kate Marmion Foundation for major preservation efforts 

The Sam Rayburn Museum has announced a $1.1 million gift from the Kate Marmion Charitable Foundation to support the Briscoe Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin. The funding will go toward critical preservation and capital improvements, including foundation repairs, upgraded entrances, and enhanced landscaping, while keeping exhibits open during construction. The museum, honoring former U.S. House Speaker Sam Rayburn, preserves his long congressional legacy and continues its mission of public education and historical interpretation.
