Saint Mary’s Catholic women’s college receives $7.5M for need-based scholarships and student success

Saint Mary’s College, a private Catholic women’s liberal arts college affiliated with Notre Dame University, has announced a $7.5 million commitment from alumna Lorraine Sheehan Wilson and her husband, Chris Wilson, to establish the Wilson Sheehan Scholarship Fund. The largest cash scholarship gift in the Notre Dame, Indiana, college’s history, will provide need-based financial aid to students beginning in the 2027–28 academic year, with many recipients receiving support throughout all four years of enrollment. The award will serve as a leadership gift in launching Saint Mary’s capital campaign to expand women’s educational access, belonging, and long-term student success.
