Dallas Foundation invests $2M to expand access to care amid countywide maternal health crisis

The Dallas Foundation has announced a $2 million investment to address maternal health disparities in Dallas County through two $1 million grants to Child Poverty Action Lab and Parkland Health Foundation. The funding will be distributed over four years to expand clinical care, data-driven maternal health strategies, and wraparound services in underserved communities. CPAL will lead regional coordination on contraception access, maternal health data systems, and hospital care improvements, while Parkland will scale prenatal, postpartum, and home-visit programs. The initiative aims to reduce rising infant mortality and severe maternal complications in a county facing widening racial health disparities.
