The Wellspring Foundation of Southwest Virginia has awarded more than $16 million in grants to nearly 50 nonprofit and government organizations across Washington, Grayson, Russell and Smyth counties in Virginia. The 2026 HOPE and IMPACT grants support public health, child and family wellbeing, workforce training, educational access and community economic development. The funding is intended to expand opportunity, strengthen community health and support sustainable regional growth. The latest awards boost the foundation’s total awards across Southwest Virginia to more than $70 million over the past five years.
