Metallica’s All Within My Hands commits $3.3M, expands job prep programming to U.K.

All Within My Hands, Metallica’s philanthropic foundation, has committed more than $3.3 million to expand its Metallica Scholars Initiative, supporting workforce education at 18 new U.S. schools and launching the program internationally in London. The initiative will provide 15 U.S. colleges with $75,000 grants for career and technical education programs and three with $50,000 grants for specialized equipment. A $250,000 partnership with London’s Capital City College will mark the program’s first international expansion. Now in its eighth year, the initiative is expected to support about 5,000 new students across the U.S. and U.K.
