Donations for latest Texas Hill Country floods trickle in following last year’s $150M surge

The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country in Boerne, Texas, has received $750,000 in donations for this summer’s flooding, down sharply from more than $150 million raised after the deadly 2025 disaster. The nonprofit says reduced national attention has contributed to fewer corporate donors and volunteers, even as more than 800 homes in Kerr County were damaged. About $20 million from prior donations has been reallocated, while the foundation committed $18 million for recovery, including $11.3 million for housing repairs and $5 million for small-business grants.
