Lowe’s pledges $250M over 10 years to train 250K skilled trades workers targeting youth nationwide

The Lowe’s Foundation is ramping up its workforce investment with a $250 million, 10-year plan to train 250,000 skilled tradespeople, a five-fold increase over prior commitments. The Gable Grants program funds nonprofits and community colleges nationwide, including Columbus Technical College in Georgia, Coconino Community College in Arizona, and She Built This City in North Carolina, supporting programs that provide job placement, credentialing, and career advancement. Individuals like Cleveland Roberts, a cabinetmaking gold medalist and entrepreneur, exemplify the program’s impact.
