San Diego Foundation has announced $5.6 million in scholarships to support 1,057 students across San Diego County, California, pursuing higher education. The scholarship funding will help recipients attend college, trade school, graduate, and professional programs while expanding educational access for students from underserved backgrounds. Three-quarters of recipients identify as first-generation college students, 94% reported low- to middle-income status, and more than half participated in college-access programs. The scholarships reflect donor-supported philanthropy aimed at increasing educational opportunity and strengthening the region’s future workforce.
