Bristol, Tennessee’s Ballad Health receives $25M from local philanthropists John and Ann Tickle

Ballad Health in Bristol, Tennessee, has announced a $25 million commitment from local philanthropists John and Ann Tickle to support future healthcare priorities across the Appalachian Highlands region. The multiyear commitment is the largest in the health system’s history, and will help strengthen healthcare access, delivery, and innovation across the community. The gift–from the owners of Strongwell, a fiberglass manufacturer based in the over-the-border sister community of Bristol, Virginia–reflects the couple’s longstanding support for Ballad and improving the quality of life for the Bristol community and the region.
