The Prospect Home Care & Hospice Foundation in Woodland Park, Colorado, has awarded $2 million in final donations as it dissolves following the closure of Prospect Home Care & Hospice, which shut down after staffing shortages–including the loss of experienced nurses and operations leaders–made continued service unsustainable. Most funding went to rural Colorado fire departments and local nonprofits, including Teller Senior Coalition in Woodland, which received $100,000 to expand senior transportation, and Community of Caring Foundation, in Cripple Creek, which received $25,000 for childcare services.
