Wounded Warrior receives $5M for financial readiness of veterans entering civilian life

USAA, the military-family and veteran-focused financial services company, has announced a five year, $5 million commitment to the Wounded Warrior Project to help launch a financial readiness initiative supporting veterans during their first two years after military service. The Warrior Secure Start program combines personalized financial education, one-on-one coaching, and a $1,000 empowerment grant earned by completing key learning milestones. Expected to reach more than 4,000 veterans, the initiative aims to strengthen financial resilience as participants navigate employment, housing, benefits, and other challenges of civilian life. The collaboration expands USAA’s efforts to equip veterans with practical tools and resources to build long-term financial security.
