Communities Foundation of Texas commits $10M for Dallas-area education and young adult  initiatives

The Communities Foundation of Texas has awarded $10 million in support of education initiatives across the Dallas area. The funding to For Oak Cliff, Educate Texas, the Dallas Foundation, and United to Learn includes $2 million in scholarships for more than 400 students and a $2 million investment to address chronic absenteeism among high school students. $1.3 million will bolster the Opportunity Youth Collective effort to engage young adults who are disconnected from school and work, and $3.7 million will fund an AI education collaborative to promote responsible artificial intelligence use in classrooms.
