Koum family awards $36M to boost Milken Community School expansion in Los Angeles

Milken Community School has received a $36 million gift from the Koum Family Foundation to support the expansion of its new campus in Los Angeles, California. The donation, part of the school’s capital campaign, will help advance development of a recently acquired 22-acre property purchased from American Jewish University. In recognition of the contribution, the site will be named for Jan Koum. The funding significantly strengthens one of the nation’s largest non-Orthodox Jewish day schools and brings the campaign’s total fundraising to $152 million, accelerating plans to expand educational capacity and enhance long-term resources for Jewish students and families in the Los Angeles region.
