Google $20M backs energy fund and community investments tied to $15B Missouri data center

Google has announced a $20 million Energy Impact Fund, alongside expanded workforce training and STEAM education initiatives in Montgomery County, Missouri. The community investments are tied to the tech giant’s development of a $15 billion data center that will broadly impact the region. The energy fund will support home energy efficiency and weatherization upgrades aimed at reducing household energy costs and improving long-term energy affordability. In addition, Google is partnering with local labor training centers to prepare more than 2,300 construction workers and apprentices, while helping expand a new workforce development facility and strengthening the region’s talent pipeline through education and job training programs.
