Bloomberg pledges $25M match for $75M 9/11 memorial education campaign

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum has launched a $75 million fundraising campaign to expand education and public engagement ahead of the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The initiative includes a $25 million matching commitment from Giving Pledger and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg through the Bloomberg Philanthropies, while an additional $25 million has already been secured from other donors. The campaign aims to create a permanent funding source for educational programs, new exhibits, classroom resources, teacher training, and free museum access for students, first responders, and veterans. The effort is designed to help educate the nearly 100 million Americans born after 2001 and preserve firsthand accounts of the attacks and their aftermath.
