OSF commits $30M to counter rising antisemitism and islamophobia across United States

Open Society Foundations has announced a $30 million multiyear commitment to organizations combating antisemitism and anti-Muslim hate in the United States and globally. The three-year funding initiative will support interfaith partnerships, anti-discrimination education, free speech protections, and community safety efforts amid rising hostility linked to the Israel-Hamas war and broader political tensions. Grantees include the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, Jewish Social Justice Roundtable, Nexus Project, and Shoulder to Shoulder. Funding will expand solidarity fellowships, public dialogues, and community-led initiatives designed to reduce religious polarization and strengthen Jewish-Muslim collaboration.
