Oregon Community Foundation launches $100M fund to boost housing for middle-income families

The Oregon Community Foundation has announced a $100 million fund to finance construction of middle-income housing across the state. The Building Hope Fund initiative will provide loans to developers to help build 10,000 housing units over the next decade, aiming to address Oregon’s persistent shortage of affordable housing. The fund is designed to attract additional private and public capital, including banks, investors, and donors, to improve project feasibility. The effort targets households earning 80–120% of area median income and will leverage state revolving loan programs to drive housing development.
