Challenged Athletes Foundation awards over $10M to expand adaptive sports access nationwide

Challenged Athletes Foundation has announced grants totaling more than $10 million awarded to thousands of athletes with physical disabilities across the United States to expand access to sport. The funding supports adaptive equipment, including prosthetics and racing chairs, as well as training, coaching, travel, and competition expenses. Grants are distributed nationwide, enabling participation from youth athletes through elite Paralympic hopefuls, with a focus on long-term athletic development and inclusion. The program is expected to support over 4,000 individuals this cycle, reinforcing CAF’s mission to remove financial barriers and build sustained pathways into adaptive sports.
