Los Angeles Children’s Chorus receives record $2M from Perenchio Foundation

The Los Angeles Children’s Chorus has received a $2.04 million grant from the Perenchio Foundation in Pasadena, California, the largest grant in the chorus’s history. Distributed over three years, the unrestricted general operating support will strengthen organizational infrastructure, long-term planning, and financial resilience, helping sustain LACC’s growth and expand its youth choral music education programs. The Pasadena-based chorus, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, serves more than 500 children ages 6–18 annually through eight choirs and two introductory programs. More than 30% of participants receive financial aid, extending access across Southern California communities.
