The National Park Foundation has announced grants totaling $5 million to 77 park partner organizations nationwide to bolster fundraising capacity and strengthen organizational governance and the use of technology. The awards, the foundation’s largest combined capacity-building investments to date, aim to help the nonprofits that support the national park system to broaden their impact within the communities they serve. Since 2020, the program has awarded more than 270 grants, with recipients subsequently reporting sustained revenue growth nearly twice that of non-grantees. Funding is supported by the Pisces and Richard King Mellon foundations, Subaru of America, and NPF advisory board member Susan Byrd.
