Samaritan’s Feet reaches 12 millionth pair of shoes distributed worldwide

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Samaritan’s Feet International has announced the distribution of its 12 millionth pair of shoes at the Mtunthama Primary School in Dowa District, Malawi, marking a major milestone in the nonprofit’s global mission. The nonprofit–founded in 2003 by Nigerian couple Manny and Tracie Ohonme–working with Operation Save and local partners, provides children with shoes, foot hygiene education, and health support. SFI’s ongoing donor-supported efforts have worked to improve health, education access, and personal dignity in communities across 113 countries and 625 U.S. cities.
