Lompoc Theatre receives $6M for centennial renovations and performing arts access expansion

Cheryl Goldberg, a Sanat Barbara, California, philanthropist, has committed $6 million to the Lompoc Theatre to complete its centennial renovations and expand performing arts access across Santa Barbara County. The funding includes $5 million for restoring and reopening the historic theater and $1 million to establish the Goldberg Santa Barbara Performing Arts Fund, a multiyear endowment supporting performances, education, and community engagement. The donation brings Lompoc’s $18.9 million renovation campaign close to full funding, positioning the theater for a phased reopening beginning in 2027 followed by a centennial debut in 2028.
