CU Anschutz receives $12M to expand PKD treatment, research, and patient care

Zarpet Family Foundation has announced a $12 million grant to the University of Colorado Anschutz PKD Center, in Aurora to support polycystic kidney disease research and treatment. The funding will expand the center’s research, clinical care, and education programs while accelerating clinical trials, developing imaging biomarkers, and evaluating new and repurposed therapies to slow disease progression. The grant will strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration, recruit leading researchers, enhance data collection for future external funding, and build a network of PKD clinical trial centers. The investment also aims to improve patient access to care and bolster CU Anschutz’s national leadership in PKD research.
