Vanderbilt University has announced a $75 million matching commitment from the Huang family to establish the Jen-Hsun and Lori Huang College of Art, Architecture and Design at its newly acquired San Francisco, California, campus–the former location of the California College of the Arts. The matching gift has already attracted additional funding, bringing total commitments to more than $100 million. The project will create a new college integrating art, architecture, design, engineering, and entrepreneurship while supporting undergraduate, graduate, and lifelong learning programs. In addition, the funding will establish the California College of the Arts Institute, preserving CCA’s 120-year legacy through expanded archives, fellowships, residencies, exhibitions, and public programming in San Francisco.
