Linux Foundation launches new foundation for open-source AI-ready health infrastructure

The Linux Foundation has announced the launch of the Open Health Stack Software Foundation, an open-source initiative to advance AI-ready digital health infrastructure and improve health equity. Google will contribute the entirety of its Open Health Stack project, its code and assets, alongside a $3 million grant from Google.org to support the collaborative and community-governed platform’s growth. The initiative will provide  globally standard vendor-neutral tools to help developers build health applications, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. OHS-SF is supported by more than 20 organizations, including the World Health Organization, Anthropic, and Microsoft.
