Allen Family Philanthropies has announced a $5 million, three-year grant commitment to support 10 Washington-based organizations expanding Creative Youth Development (CYD) programs across 11 counties in Washington state. The funding, described as the state’s largest single investment in community-led out-of-school CYD programs, will help organizations broaden arts-based education, mentorship, leadership development, and workforce pathways for youth ages 13–26. Grantees span disciplines including visual arts, music, theater, photography, and digital media. Beyond program funding, recipients will participate in a statewide learning cohort designed to strengthen CYD practices, expand collaboration, and improve long-term outcomes for young people.
