Boise, Idaho-based Micron Technology has announced a $250 million commitment to expand funding to the newly launched Trump administration 530A savings accounts for children and families across the United States, supporting long-term savings and future workforce development. The award will provide a one-time $250 seed deposit for eligible children in communities where Micron operates in Idaho, New York, Virginia, California, Colorado, Minnesota, and Texas. Expected to reach up to one million children, the initiative aims to strengthen financial security while complementing Micron’s broader investments in U.S. manufacturing, research, and workforce development of the next generation of semiconductor talent.
