Woodforest Bank in Texas awards $6.7M to 232 nonprofits for vulnerable communities

Woodforest National Bank’s charitable foundation, headquartered in Woodlands, Texas, has awarded $6.7 million in grants to 232 nonprofits supporting communities served by the bank in 17 states. The funding includes $3.3 million awarded to 55 nonprofits in Montgomery and Harris counties, Texas, including support for crisis intervention, health care, housing, hunger, child advocacy, veterans services, and essential community needs. Recipients include Houston Food Bank, Montgomery County Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County. The annual awards aim to strengthen frontline organizations delivering critical services to vulnerable populations across Woodforest’s 730-community footprint from New York to Texas.
