Leon Levine Foundation awards $3.25M for career pathways initiatives across Carolinas

The Leon Levine Foundation has announced grants totaling $3.25 million to 15 nonprofits in North and South Carolina to expand career-connected learning opportunities for students. The foundation’s Career-Connected Learning Challenge supports initiatives that create pathways from education to livable-wage careers through workforce training, credentials, and employer experiences with the aim of improving the economic mobility for underserved students. Recipients including the Industrial Commons, Road to Hire, and She Built This City, will focus on high-demand fields including health care, advanced manufacturing, aviation, skilled trades, technology, construction, and education.
