Princess Margaret Cancer two-day cycling event raises $17M for early detection, innovative therapy  research

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation has announced a record C$23.3 million ($17.M) raised through its “Ride,” an annual two-day cycling event, supporting cancer research, education, and care at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. More than 4,800 cyclists participated in the Ride, reportedly Canada’s largest athletic fundraiser, between Toronto and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Now in its 19th year, the event has generated over C$344 million ($246M) cumulatively. Funds will be directed to programs accelerating cancer discovery to advance early detection and innovative therapies to improve treatment outcomes and survival rates.
