Marquette receives $3M from Eckstein Trust for law school public service and legal aid programs

Marquette University has announced a $3 million endowment award from the Ray & Kay Eckstein Charitable Trust to endow the Marquette Law School office of public service and support its volunteer legal clinics in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The funding will strengthen pro bono legal services, expand access to justice, and sustain opportunities for law students and attorneys to serve communities across the state–the school’s clinics currently assist 6,000 people annually across Wisconsin’s 67 counties.A related challenge commitment will boost the Eckstein award to $4M if the school is able to raise an additional $2 million for the endowment.
