The KidSTREAM Children’s Museum in Camarillo, California, has raised $7 million to support the launch of its hands-on STREAM education facility. The funding includes $2 million from biotech firm Amgen and its philanthropic arm, as well as support from the Gene Haas Foundation, and the Driscoll’s fruit company. The museum will open its initial 21,000-square-foot space in May, with plans to expand to 30,000 square feet. Serving 200,000 children in Ventura County, the museum will provide immersive science learning and year-round programming, building on outreach already reaching 10,000 youth annually and aiming to drive sustained engagement in the STEM fields.
