Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country awards $18M for recovery from latest flooding

The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has awarded $18 million to residents and businesses in support of recovery efforts following recent flooding in the Kerr County region. The recovery funding includes $11.3 million for housing support in Kerr County, a $5 million grant to LiftFund for small business assistance, and $1.7 million in initial grants to four nonprofits providing financial services. Recipients include Hill Country Community Needs Council, Hill Country Family Services, Catholic Charities of San Antonio, and Light on the Hill.

The latest commitments come as CFTHC previously announced it has awarded $82 million of the $150 million raised for long-term recovery efforts in response to the deadly flooding that overwhelmed the region in July 2025.
