The Resilient Chicago Fund–an pooled fund of the Chicago Community Trust co-led by CCT and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation–has awarded $5.5M to 17 nonprofits in Chicago, Illinois, and the surrounding Cook County region to improve access to food, housing, healthcare, and safety services. Recipients include United Way of Metro Chicago, Thresholds, and the Community Institute of Sinai Chicago.The fund aims to strengthen safety-net systems through testing new approaches to delivering essential services amid funding and policy changes at local, state, and federal levels.
